The deciding factor on the hardware finish is normally personal preference.  You can match the existing hardware in the same room or adjacent room. Since the hardware will be slightly less noticable then the doors, pick the finish that you prefer. Sometimes cost is also a factor, not all hardwares are available in all finishes. All the hardware finishes are durable and will add beauty to your current room.
